        • I understand having an attorney that is close to you makes sense but with personal injury claims we like for you to focus more on healing then having to visit your lawyer.             There’s no need to oversell the law firm! Control the conversation. If the potential client has a question they will ask and you should answer it and go right back to getting them on board.             Always stay as positive as possible when answering and asking questions.<\/span><\/p>

            Overexplaining even when meant to be positive often comes off as a negative even when not intended to be.<\/span><\/p>

            • Will I have to pay you guys upfront or out of pocket?

              • That’s a really good question and I’m glad you asked because at McKay Law we only get paid if you WIN!<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                (You may feel the need to explain this further by telling them what the percent is of the fee or how all expenses like medical, pain and suffering, and or property damage costs come from the settlement\u2026 This only opens up new doors to new questions that most clients don\u2019t even have at this point.) Try to answer only the direct question given to you without having to get into details that don\u2019t effect the outcome of their claim.<\/span><\/p>

                • How much is your fee? <\/b>
                  • \u00a0How fees vary depending on circumstances and difficulty of the cases, but its never more then 40% and always free unless we win.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>
                    • The Insurance company already contacted me and Offered me $1000\u2026<\/b>
                      • That’s great that means the insurance company recognizes the fact that you have an actual claim. What we do at McKay Law is ensure that you get the maximum amount.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                        (Your natural response may be to say how thats not enough or they are trying to scam you\u2026 This may be true and $1000 is most likely not enough to cover the damages but by being negative towards the insurance company isn\u2019t necessary. Also stating that \u201cthats not enough\u201d they may start to wonder how much they can get and there\u2019s no way of telling that yet.<\/span><\/p>

                        • My family says I shouldn\u2019t trust an attorney cuz all they want is money\u2026 <\/b>
                          • Oh yeah I understand I\u2019m sure your family is just trying to look out for you which is great! A<\/span>\u00a0personal injury claim is not just about how much you can win but also how much you can save!\u00a0 What that means is that with the right attorney, negotiations are not only done with the insurance companies but with medical professionals that are involved.
